Once I contact SHP about a potential assignment, what process do you undertake?

Within 12 hours of initial contact by phone or e-mail, a SHP partner will contact you. Under normal circumstances, a phone discussion may be followed by a more extensive conference call. In order to gain a complete view of certain engagements, an offer for a personal visit to meet with the Board or the management team may be extended. Based upon the travel schedules of our partners, personal visits can usually be arranged within one week of the initial contact. Within one to three days of an initial meeting, a proposal will be written and presented.

What types of contractual arrangements does SHP enter into with clients?

For all engagements, we require the use of a standard short form contract. In the contract, we describe the scope, the timeframe, the deliverables and the professional fees. We ask all of our clients to make payment to SHP within ten (10) business days of the invoice date. For all engagements, a standard confidentiality/non disclosure agreement is executed.

What types of contractual arrangements does SHP enter into with consultants?

For all engagements, we also complete a contract with any consultant who will be working on the engagement. Again, the contract describes the scope, the timeframe, the deliverable and the professional fees that will be paid to the consultant. For all engagements, SHP consultants execute a standard confidentiality/non disclosure agreement.

What is the cost/fee arrangement for engagements?

Based upon the client's desires, SHP will undertake engagements for an hourly rate, daily rate, or project fee. All fees charged are very competitive and depend heavily on the level of professionals required to complete the engagement within the needed timeframe. SHP bills its clients on a bi-weekly basis and requires that invoices be paid within ten (10) days of the invoice date.
